Post Weight Loss Surgery

Post-weight loss surgery, also known as post-bariatric surgery or body contouring surgery after weight loss, refers to a series of cosmetic surgical procedures aimed at addressing excess skin, fat, and tissue that remain after significant weight loss. These procedures are commonly sought by individuals who have achieved substantial weight loss through methods such as diet, exercise, or bariatric surgery and are left with loose, sagging skin that may detract from their overall body contour.

  • Body Lift: A body lift, also known as a circumferential abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that addresses excess skin and fat around the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. It involves making incisions around the waistline to remove excess skin and tissue, lifting and tightening the remaining skin, and repositioning or enhancing the contours of the lower body.
  • Arm Lift (Brachioplasty): An arm lift is a surgical procedure aimed at addressing excess skin and fat in the upper arms. It involves making incisions along the inner or back of the arms to remove excess tissue, tighten the skin, and improve arm contour.
  • Thigh Lift: A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that targets excess skin and fat in the thighs. It involves making incisions along the inner thigh, outer thigh, or groin area to remove excess tissue, lift and tighten the skin, and improve thigh contour.
  • Breast Lift (Mastopexy): A breast lift is a surgical procedure that addresses sagging or drooping breasts that may result from weight loss. It involves lifting and reshaping the breasts by removing excess skin, repositioning the nipples and areolas, and restoring breast volume and contour.
  • Breast Augmentation: In some cases, individuals may choose to undergo breast augmentation with implants or fat transfer to restore lost breast volume and enhance breast size and shape following weight loss.
  • Lower Body Lift: A lower body lift combines elements of a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), thigh lift, and buttock lift to address excess skin and tissue in the lower body, including the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks. It provides comprehensive contouring and reshaping of the lower body following significant weight loss.
